Apian Weapons

These are some Concept weapons for the Apians. The bee race of aliens I created. Keep in mind that the Apians are one foot tall.

Stinger-

A semi automatic hand held weapon about 1 1/2-2 inches big. It is a commonly used projectile weapon that fires crystallized Apian toxin. The Apians discovered how to crystallized liquid Apian toxin using a special compound from native plant on their home world. The Projectiles are half an inch long and are fired at a high speed from the Stinger. Once embedded in the flesh of the target the crystals liquefy, spreading the toxin into the body. Leathaleity depends on the size of the target. The Crystals can also contain a hormone that is used to help guide Swarmer Drones to intended targets. Certain Apian warriors carry these modified versions of the weapon.

A traditional 1 foot long Melee weapon that the Apians have used for eons. The weapon is a throwing spear, and a bladed staff rolled into one. The center of the weapon has Apian Toxin which leaches out into the blades. If the cut from the blades doesn't kill its target, the toxin introduced into the wound will. 

Swarmer Drones-

Swamer drones are one of the most powerful weapons at the Apian's disposal and are usually 6 inches but some have been able to reach a foot in length.  Swarmers develop from unfertilized eggs that the Apian Queen larvas, the developing larva is then fed a special formula that drastically alters its development. This turns the lava into the bee equivalent of a ballistic missile. Swamer Drones are tended to as adults as they have no means of caring for themselves.  Swamer drones are usually used to take out very large targets. The Drones hone onto targets by picking up a pheromone that the Apian warriors plant on the target. They then ram themselves stinger first into the target. There are three varieties of Drones, Poison Drones, Bomb Drones, and Hybrid Drones. Poison drones inject the target with Apian toxin, Bomb drones explodes upon impact with target, and Hybrid drones do both.
